Tijn Driessen loves improvisation. When he plays live, he’s the conductor of his own electronic orchestra. He’ll be tweaking drum computers, rearranging songs or just downgrading them to 1 loop. It’s all about (de)construction, feeling a vibe and diving into the rabbit hole. His live setup forces improvisation and nobody knows where they’ll will end up … and that includes Tijn.
Like no other, he cuts through the noise with a terrific balance of acoustics and electronics. He manages to find thàt range of frequencies that drape over you like a snug blanket. Just like a welcome breeze of fresh air making its way under covers that are just too warm. Not pressured, not restricted, not limited and not impressed by expectations. “Not too much prep please, I’ll swing with the moment.”
In short, Tijn needs to feel free.
