O/Y (pronounce "Oh Why", a.k.a. Jakob Ahrends), master of his signature sound and virtuoso in minimal funk, lands on Moodfamily with his latest 4 track explorations. In expert fashion, he manages - unlike anyone else - to create playful melancholy weaved into shuffled downbeats and synth-bending landscapes. As a classical trained drummer, he clearly knows how to construct devastatingly efficient grooves as he stretches your understanding of how dance music should sound. He just took the gloves off. We already took our shoes off. All that remains, is quite simply to take our hats off to you too, O/Y.
